Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has responded to the call made by fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam 1 de Ultimate for him and his colleague, Davido, to settle their differences.
News About Nigeria recalls that Davido and Dammy Krane have been at loggerheads since the latter accused the former of owing him some money in 2023.
After Davido denied the debt allegation, Dammy Krane also accused him in a post via his X account on July 5, 2024, that he was responsible for his friend Tagbo Umeike’s death, which occurred on Davido’s birthday, October 3, 2017.
To back up his claim, Dammy Krane said he was willing to testify in court that Davido had a hand in Tagbo’s demise, adding that he would publicly share Davido’s “dirty linens” while challenging the DMW CEO to sue him if he was lying.
Wading in on the matter on Sunday evening, Kwam 1, while addressing Dammy Krane as his son, pleaded with him to settle the rift with Davido.
During his musical tour in the United States, the singer paused while performing on stage to tell the artists to reconcile and bury the hatchet between them.
While calling for the reconciliation, he noted that it was an order and he does not want to hear anything from any one of them concerning it.
He said, “I want to send a message to my son, Dammy Krane, that I said he should not fight with Davido again. Every dispute and difference between them should end. ‘I, Wasiu Ayinde, have given this order. I don’t want to hear anything from anyone again. None of you will die.”
Reacting to the order, Dammy Krane accused Davido of meeting with his mum and Kwam 1 de Ultimate so they could beg him.
He further noted that he would stop bringing up his late friend, Tagbo’s matter because of family and Kwam 1’s intervention.
He, however, noted that Davido must pay him the royalties for the song he wrote for him.
His post reads, “So @davido setup a meeting wit my mum in yankee lol. i understand all. i’ll leave d Tagbo matter to god because of good people like family, K1 De Ultimate. But david pay for the song i wrote & royalties. PS: Evil prevail when good people refuse to talk.”
