Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has celebrated adding another year to his life as he turns 59 today, News About Nigeria reports.
The governor took to his verified handle on X to celebrate himself and express gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate another year.
He noted that it has been an immense privilege to be the governor of Lagos State, adding that he is grateful for the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of the citizens.
He expressed his appreciation to everyone who has supported him, including his hardworking team, and the wonderful people of Lagos, and noted that their unwavering support and belief in the shared vision are the hallmark of their successes.
“Today, I turn 59. As I mark this special day, I am thankful for the amazing journey that has led me to this moment. Being the Governor of Lagos State is an immense privilege, and I am grateful for the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of our citizens.
“I want to express my appreciation to everyone who has supported me, from my hardworking team to the wonderful people of Lagos. Your unwavering support and belief in our shared vision are the hallmarks of our successes.

Governor Sanwo-Olu had a successful career in the private sector before joining the public service.
He was elected Governor of Lagos State in 2019 and re-elected in 2023 for a second term.
