The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has congratulated Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his partner, Chioma Rowland, on their wedding ceremony happening today in Lagos State, News About Nigeria reports.
The author and publisher of popular Ovation magazine took to his verified handle on X to congratulate the couple.
He wrote, “On behalf of the MOMODU family of IHIEVBE, EDO STATE, I wish to send our heartiest congratulations to @davido and his lovely wife @thechefchi on this special day of their wedding. May GOD almighty bless the union and provide you with good health, more prosperity and unlimited happiness.”
Momodu is an uncle to Sophia, the mother of Davido’s first child, Imade.
The Afrobeat singer, Davido, is getting married to his heartthrob, Chioma, amidst a lot of fanfare today in Lagos State.
Recall that the singer sued his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, for joint custody of Imade, a few days before his wedding, alleging that she used their daughter to extort him.
Sophia, however, replied to the suit, denying his allegations and revealing that she has been responsible for the upkeep of their daughter since 2022.
Davido and Chioma have, however, been together for a long time, as far back as 2018, and have survived lots of challenges together, including the death of their three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The wedding ceremony is said to be a gathering of billionaires, as influential people all over the world, are in attendance.
The wedding party kicked off with a surprise bridal shower for Chioma on Sunday.
