Social media is abuzz with joyous and emotional moments from the highly anticipated wedding of Nigerian Afrobeat star Davido and Chioma Avril Rowland, taking place today, June 25, 2025, in Lagos State.

The moment, captured and shared by label executive Ubi Franklin, shows the couple kneeling before Chioma’s parents at the wedding venue.

Chioma’s father offered a heartfelt prayer for the couple, blessing their union and future.

“David and Chioma, on Christ the solid rock you will stand,” he prayed.

“If you think you have made it, what the Lord will do is almost 10 times what you see. You are blessed in the morning, afternoon, and night. Everywhere you go, there will be light. Anywhere you go where there is confusion, your presence will bring direction.

“You are a solution and never a problem. God is blessing you and will continue to bless you. You are a fountain of blessings to the Adelekes, not disgrace. You have fought battles and God says he has taken over.”

Davido, overwhelmed by the blessings and prayers, was visibly moved, his tears promptly dabbed away by his groomsman.
