Saida Boj Offers ‘Apology’ Over Controversial Relationship Comment On Podcast [Video]

Sarah Ojone, popularly known as Saida Boj, has issued an ‘apology’ following backlash over her remarks on relationships and money during a recent interview on ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, News About Nigeria reports.

In the interview released last week, Saida Boj said that if a man can spend up to N20 million weekly, then he can go through her legs.

“If you can spend up to N20 million a week, you can go through my legs. You can go through anywhere, because that is good money. My talking stage does not last more than one day. If you talk to me in the morning, I will bill you (ask for money) in the evening; and if you can’t afford it, you will go.”

These comments quickly drew criticism on social media, where users accused her of promoting materialistic and unrealistic expectations.

Despite the backlash, Saida Boj appeared to revel in the clout.

In response to the uproar, a new video of Saida Boj surfaced online, in which she delivered an apology that many have deemed sarcastic.

She addressed her previous statements, saying, “I just came to say I’m so sorry for the last podcast interview I did. Initially, I didn’t want to apologisee because I felt I didn’t do anything wrong. You guys should not get me wrong. It was not supposed to be N20 million. When you have a camera in your face, you won’t know when you’d say what you were not supposed to say. I wanted to say N19.8 million.

“I’m so sorry for what I did. I didn’t know how N20 million escaped from my mouth. The devil wanted to set me up. N20 million for what? Will the guy go and rob to get me money? That’s too much. I wanted to say N19.8 million. Why would I say something like that? I apologise to you all and I’m so sorry. I don’t know where to start from. I know some of you are so angry at me, I’m so sorry.”

Many have viewed her apology as a mockery.
