Man Burnt To Death For Killing 18-Year-Old POS Operator In Taraba

Two Die From Taraba Attack 

Residents of Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State have reportedly set a man ablaze for stabbing a female Point-of-Sale (POS) operator to death.

According to reports, the slain 18-year-old was preparing to write her NECO exams before the unfortunate incident that claimed her life.

News About Nigeria gathered that the incident happened on Monday around the Wukari Yam market in the state.

The man was said to have attacked the POS operator after he tried to steal her business money.

Reports have it that he stabbed her after she failed to surrender the business money to him.

After he committed the heinous crime, residents of the area, who were angered by the man’s actions, pursued and apprehended him before setting him ablaze.

The incident was confirmed to Newen by the Chairman of Wukari LGA, Ismaila Dauda, on Tuesday.

Dauda said, “It is true that one young man stabbed a POS operator to death on Monday, June 17. He was pursued, caught, and lynched by a mob. It’s a sad and unfortunate incident because the POS operator, who was an 18-year-old girl, was preparing to write her NECO exams before her untimely death.”

Also, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Gambo Kwache, confirmed the incident.

While confirming the incident, Kwache revealed that the police are currently investigating the tragic incident to ensure that there is no repetition of such tragedies in the state.

He further assured the people of the state of the safety of their lives and properties.
