Kebbi Board Warns Pilgrims Against Selling Uniforms To Illegal Aliens In Saudi Arabia

The Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board has issued a stern warning to pilgrims against selling their uniforms to illegal aliens in Saudi Arabia, News About Nigeria reports.

Sheikh Aminu Hassan, Director of Da’awah for the Board, said that such actions constitute a serious offence and will be met with strict penalties from the Board’s disciplinary committee.

Addressing the pilgrims shortly after the Subhi (dawn) prayer on Thursday, Sheikh Hassan said that illegal aliens could misuse these uniforms to commit crimes, which could tarnish the reputation of both Kebbi State and Nigeria.

But remember, they will use these uniforms to commit atrocities, and such atrocities committed will be recorded against Nigeria and Kebbi in particular.

“Your uniform is a symbol of your country and a symbol of your state, therefore, guard it against any form of embarrassment,” he urged.

Sheikh Hassan cautioned that pilgrims, especially women, might be tempted by offers of money to sell their uniforms.

He said it is important to maintain the integrity and honour of their nation and state by not engaging in such activities.

The cleric also called on the pilgrims to exhibit discipline and respect for constituted authorities, urging them to be good ambassadors of Kebbi and Nigeria.

He emphasised the value of patience and mutual support among the pilgrims, stating that these qualities are crucial for a successful and acceptable Hajj.

In addition to Sheikh Hassan’s warnings, another cleric, Malam Lukman Hamidu-Yauri, urged the pilgrims to pray fervently for Nigeria, particularly in light of the security challenges facing the country.

He said that prayers for peace and tranquility are essential for Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
