In a special combined interdenominational service themed “Promoted for a Purpose” held at the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Kassa Barakin-Ladi local government area of Plateau State, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG, declared that the state would experience everlasting peace and regain its lost glory.
News About Nigeria reports that during his sermon, Pastor Adeboye stated that darkness cannot comprehend light.
Pastor Adeboye, who hadn’t visited Plateau State in seven years, said his prolonged absence was the devil’s attempt to hinder the impending revival in the state.
However, he proclaimed that the fire of God’s light in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, would not diminish.
Under the theme “Promoted for a Purpose”, derived from Revelation 4:10–11, Pastor Adeboye said God has the ability to elevate individuals from lowly positions to positions of authority.
He stated that divine promotion comes with a purpose and responsibility, all aimed at glorifying God’s name.
Governor Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State expressed gratitude for Pastor Adeboye’s visit, describing it as symbolic and indicative of a shift from darkness to light in the state.
He declared that the era of mourning in Plateau State was over and welcomed the promised revival with open arms.
He assured residents of enhanced security and prosperity, predicting an abundance of rain and food for the year.
The interdenominational service was attended by dignitaries including former Governors of the State, Senator Jonah Jang and Senator Joshua Darius, as well as religious leaders from various denominations.
The service followed a two-day RCCG Northern Ministers and Workers Conference.
