APC Reacts To Sack Of Zamfara Chairman By Ward Executives

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports of the sack of its chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, by executives of the Galadima Ward of Gusau LGA.

The party described the reports as untrue and baseless, stating that the claims raised by discontented persons are unfounded and aimed at destabilising the unity within the party leadership and members, News About Nigeria reports.

In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, the party said the constitutional channels and laid down rules and regulations for addressing grievances were not followed, making the suspension invalid.

The statement also warned against rushing to press without verifying issues with the party headquarters, especially when there is a cordial working relationship.

The party noted that the papers containing the purported suspension did not have the APC logo or Galadima Ward letterhead paper, but an ordinary paper used by students of tertiary institutions, demonstrating the dubious act of the suspension.

The statement read in part, “The party is aware of the antics of some politicians planning to destroy the party to float a new party for the 2027 elections, as done in Kano and many state chapters. We believe their evil plan will fail.”

The party urged newsmen and media organisations to verify issues with the party headquarters before rushing to press, especially when there is an open-door policy in place.

We earlier reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has been thrown into a fresh leadership crisis as the Chairman, Tukur Danfulani, has been sacked by the ward executive of the party in Galadima, Gusau Local Government Area of the state.

The ward executive, led by its deputy chairman, Garba Bello, and 15 others, took the decision on Saturday

The party cited alleged lack of good leadership, discrimination against party members, and diversion of party activities to non-leaders as reasons for the sacking.
