Vera Anyim, the lady who became popular following her testimony at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja has solicit for funds from Nigerians for a new apartment.

In a viral video she released on Thursday, Vera said that she needs a new apartment because she does not want attackers to come after her thinking she has made money after her vacation at Portland Resorts Hotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

News About Nigeria reported that Anyim became popular after she testified in Dunamis headquarters that she graduated with a BSC in Law from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

The Senior pastor of the church, Dr. Enenche, who did not believe her claim queried the possibility of her graduating with a BSC in Law and subsequently called her a ‘liar,’ asking her to return to her seat.

However, upon proper investigation, it was discovered that Anyim was truly a Law Graduate from NOUN.

Following the discovery and demands for apology from Nigerians, Dunamis church released an official statement apologising to Vera on behalf of Pastor Enenche.

Together with his wife, Dr Becky Enenche, the pastor hosted Vera and settled the issue amicably with her.

Vera, on her part took to social media to share pictures of herself with the Pastors, noting that she has no grudge against them and has moved on, pleading with Nigerians to let the matter end.

In the heat of the event, the chairman of Portland resorts, Azubuike Ihemeje, had invited Anyim for an all-expense paid trip.

Anyim honoured the invitation and received various gifts during the vacation which she shared on social media.

However, following her return to her base, Abuja, she is claiming that her current apartment is unsafe for her as many who knew her before now would think she now has so much.

Anyim who is seeking for assistance from Nigerians to secure a new accommodation said, “I want to use this medium to urge us to assist me with accommodation because I am not buoyant now to rent a house. Where I am staying now is risky and insecure. It is a very open place and everybody has already known I am a celebrity.

“When I left Abuja, some people in my compound didn’t know what was happening, but I was there, and so many of them have heard what was going on. Some have said they are waiting for me. My brother, who stays with me, told me that people gathered, all waiting for me. That is why I am voicing out, asking for assistance to enable me to get a place I can stay so that my life can be safe. As I’m talking to you, I’m just hiding myself so that people will not come and misbehave at my side.”
