Gospel Singer, Lara George Spits Fire As She Charge Pastor Enenche To Publicly Apologize To Church Testifier

On Tuesday, gospel singer Lara George slammed the the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Dr. Paul Enenche, for not properly apologising to his church testifier, Ayim Vera, News About Nigeria reports.

She charged him to do the right thing by publicly apologising to Vera, insisting that his apology to her should be as loud as his criticism.

Lara George’s take on the issue comes after Vera had publicly announced that she has no grudge against her ‘spiritual parents’, Pastor Enenche and his wife, Becky Enenche.

Her public announcement on her stand concerning the issue was accompanied with a picture of herself with the pastors after having a private meeting with them.

During the private meeting, Pastor Enenche apologised and settled with her amicably for terming her a ‘liar’ after she testified about graduating with a BSC in law from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Asides from meeting with Vera, Dunamis church released an official statement explaining what happened between the pastor and Vera.

In the statement, they had also apologised, noting that it was not the intention of Pastor Enenche to embarrass her.

Reacting to this, days after their settlement, Lara George in a statement on her official Instagram account tasked Pastor Enenche to properly apologise to Vera.

This, according to her, is because the statement by the church on the matter was not a proper apology.

She insisted that the pastor needs to apologise properly to her for the embarrassment she suffered.

She further emphasised the need to treat people well regardless of their class or background.

Her post partly reads, “Nah! It’s not nice. Doesn’t matter who you are, we should all treat others as we would like to be treated. She doesn’t speak as well as you think she should, therefore you can conclude she is telling a lie? Based on the way she speaks? The way she speaks is a reflection of what we have allowed in our society. The contributions from people like her is what has built the edifice you sit in. And while you sit there, we don’t hear you speak for the voiceless or defend the helpless.

“Nah. It’s not nice. Apologize to her properly. Unequivocally. That write-up that you had your people do, is really an insult on top of her injury. You know this. You would never dare address the matter that way if she was from a wealthy background. At the end of the day, the way you treat someone who you think you will never need is the true indicator of your character.”
