After several backlash from netizens querying why he has not mourned Junior Pope on social media, Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has finally penned down an emotional tribute for his colleague, News About Nigeria reports.
His tribute is coming two weeks after the tragic death of Junior Pope, who died alongside four others at the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from Adanma Luke’s ‘Another Side of Life’ movie shoot.
Following confirmation of the actor’s tragic demise, many Nollywood stars took to social media to mourn the deceased actor.
Zubby Michael, who was the actor’s friend and best man during his wedding, failed to mourn the actor on his social media page but continued to post various content.
His silence over Junior Pope’s death caused many netizens to wonder what transpired between the two of them before Pope met with his untimely death.
Bordered by his seeming nonchalance towards the tragedy, many trooped to his Instagram page to call him out, querying why he has yet to mourn his deceased friend.
Also, in a series of posts, Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie confirmed the speculations of many by revealing that Zubby could not mourn Pope because they were not on good terms before his death.
However, reacting to the draggings in a post on Instagram on April 18, the actor asked netizens to stop trolling him as it is not a matter of posting.
He said, “Make una rest no be by posting.”
In a swift turn of events, the actor posted a picture of his colleague today with the caption, “It is difficult to say RIP Nwanne.”
