She revealed that the commercial motorcycle rider and his passenger had run into the abductors while coming from Ijio, Iwere Ile, an Oyo community that shared a boundary with Ogun State, on Monday, April 1.

She stated that the incident had been reported to the Divisional Police Officer at Imeko in the Imeko/Afon Local Government Area of the state by an eyewitness.

“A suspected case of kidnapping was reported through an eyewitness account to the Divisional Police Officer of Imeko Division.

“According to the report, one Nurat Ogundipe “f” who was on a commercial motorcycle was abducted along with the commercial motorcycle rider on April 1, 2024, at about 1500 hrs, while returning from Ijio Iwere Ile, a community in Oyo State that shares boundaries with Ogun State,” she stated.

Odutola also stated that the Deputy Police Officer, DPO, in collaboration with hunters, vigilantes, So Safe officers, officials of Amotekun Corps, forest guards, and policemen, are already combing the forest to rescue the victims.
