Nigeria Sends Condolence To Russia, Mourn Moscow Attack Victims

Following Friday night’s attack in Moscow, Russia, the Nigerian government on Saturday commiserated with the government and the entire people of the Russian Federation.

News About Nigeria had reported that gunmen in camouflage clothing opened fire on people at a concert in Crocus City Hall near Moscow, the Russian capital.

According to reports, the number of deaths, including children, in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow has reached 115.

It was also gathered that the gunmen used automatic weapons to carry out the deadly attack, which is reportedly ‘one of the worst attacks in Russia in years’.

Reacting to the attack in a statement, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, sent Nigeria’s condolences to the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.

In the condolence message, Nigeria mourned the deceased and also prayed for the repose of their souls, while praying for quick recovery for those injured in the attack.

“We convey our deepest condolences to the people and government of the Russian Federation on the tragic attack carried out at the Crocus Concert Hall in Moscow that resulted in the deaths of innocent people and injuries to more than a hundred others. The government and people of Nigeria commiserate with the victims of this tragic attack and pray for the repose of their souls.

“We also pray for the quick recovery of those injured. At this challenging time, we stand in brotherhood with the government and Russian Federation and send our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Russian president, His Excellency Vladimir Putin,” he added.
