Wike Approves Promotion Of 8,785 FCTA Workers

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the promotion of 8,785 FCT Administration employees, News About Nigeria reports.

According to a statement released by the FCT’s Director of Information and Communication, Muhammad Sule, on Thursday, out of 9,710 officers across the various secretariats, departments, and agencies (SDAs) that participated in the 2023 examination exercise, 925 were unsuccessful.

He further revealed that 3,924 eligible officers of common services departments took the examination but only 3,295 staff were successful and subsequently promoted.

Sule also noted that 933 professional and technical officers participated in the examination, out of which only 918 passed and were also promoted.

Also, 1,179 health officers participated in the examination, but 1,144 were successful.

The statement partly reads, “Out of the 3,674 education officers and assistant education officers that participated in the exercise, 3,428 were promoted. Consequently, out of the 3,674 education officers and assistant education officers that participated in the exercise, 3,428 were promoted.”

Quoting the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the FCT, Udo Atang, in the statement, he commended the FCT Minister for recognizing the hard work of the workers and for approving their promotions.

Atang also charged beneficiaries to show appreciation for the minister’s kindness by supporting the President Bola Tinubu-led government in delivering its “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

“The acting permanent secretary, therefore, urged all staff of the administration to reciprocate the minister’s kind gesture by supporting the leadership of the administration to deliver on Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly the Ministerial Performance Bond for Presidential Priorities and Deliverables,” the statement reads.
