Reno Omokri Advises Couples On How To Manage In-Laws

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Friday tasked Nigerians with using made-in-Nigeria products, News About Nigeria reports.

According to Omokri, using made-in-Nigeria products would go a long way in strengthening the nation’s naira in the face of the constant decline against the dollar in recent times.

In a post shared on his official X account, the former presidential aide explained that if Nigerians can use their products, no matter the amount they spend, it would help in growing the naira because the money is in Nigeria.

Omokri further noted that using products that are made in the country also helps in creating jobs, as people would be employed to work with the producers of the items as opposed to them folding up due to low patronage from Nigerians.

His post reads, “Suppose you buy Dangote noodles or spaghetti for ₦1000, your ₦1000 stays in Nigeria while you have value. If Dangote uses your ₦1000 to purchase raw materials from Ogun, that money creates employment in Nigeria.

“If that Ogun farmer uses your ₦1000 to pay his child’s school fees, your money has gone into the future of Nigeria. And that is how the naira will appreciate. But if you buy Italian spaghetti with your ₦1000, the money immediately leaves Nigeria for Italy and strengthens the Euro while devaluing the Naira, which leaves you poorer.”

He further encouraged Nigerians to wear locally made apparels that is made in Nigeria and to also watch local television channels that broadcast from Nigeria.

Speaking further, Omokri charged Nigerians to also make use of made-in-Nigerian cars, adding that it is unpatriotic to spend money on foreign goods and services when there is a made-in-Nigeria alternative.
