The President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has pledged his full support to the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, News About Nigeria reports.
He stated this while meeting with the governor at the government house in Kano on Friday.
Dangote, while congratulating the governor for his victory at the Supreme Court, assured him that for the next four or eight years, he will do all he can to assist him and ensure that his administration is successful.
“Kano is home even though I was addressed as the richest black man, but you can address me as a Kano indigene. I am your subject and you can always call on me for cooperation to see how do we develop Kano.” the business mogul said.
He noted that the country is undergoing a harsh economic situation, adding that it is becoming increasingly difficult for the common man to survive in Nigeria.
He further maintained that he would do his best to assist the government, especially in areas like health, education, and empowerment, noting that the government cannot do it alone.
Dangote further commended the governor for his intentions for the people of Kano State, noting that they are good intentions and reiterating his commitment to helping the governor achieve all the intentions he has for the state.
“Be rest assured that we will support you and support your administration and we want to tell you that we would continue to pray for your success because your success is ours. I am sorry for coming this late because I was supposed to have been here before now but I travel a lot,” he added.
