A video circulating on social media has allegedly shown Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin caught in the act of stealing gold from a shop on Lagos Island.
In the footage, Anjorin is seen wearing a face mask in a shop while a crowd gathers, creating a commotion.
She appears to be making a phone call in the video.
Instagram blog Gistlover, who posted the video first, accused Anjorin of attempting to execute a fake transfer for gold valued at N90,000.
The blog claimed that there were more videos related to the incident.
The video has sparked mixed reactions from netizens.
While some believe the actress may have genuinely tried to steal the gold, others suggest that it could be a setup or a spiritual attack, possibly linked to her recent disputes with fellow celebrities.
Many netizens have connected the incident to her ongoing feud with actress Iyabo Ojo.
News About Nigeria reported in November 2023 that Iyabo Ojo filed a lawsuit against Lizzy Anjorin for alleged defamation of character.
In a social media post, Iyabo shared a letter from her legal team, demanding that Lizzy issue a retraction, an apology, and pay damages of N500 million for her alleged libelous publications.
Lizzy Anjorin was given 14 days to respond to the demands, or she may face a N1 billion lawsuit.
The ongoing conflict between the two actresses escalated when Lizzy indirectly criticised Iyabo over the death of musician Mohbad.
She also accused Iyabo of being involved with singer Naira Marley and being the mastermind behind the popular faceless blog, Gistlover.
