Gunmen Kill Police Officers In Imo

A viral video has surfaced online, capturing a distressed man accusing Nigerian policemen of threatening to shoot him while he was taking his ailing mother to the hospital at Uselu, Ugbowo Road in Benin, News About Nigeria reports.

In the video, the visibly distressed man recounts the incident, expressing his frustration at the alleged police misconduct.

He narrates that he was on his way to the hospital with his unwell mother when they were stopped by the police.

“I’m taking my mother to the hospital; she is not sound. Look at her. See what the police are doing to me. They are molesting me, accusing me of carrying a wrong vehicle,” he said in the video.

According to the man, the police accused him of driving a vehicle with fake papers, a claim he denied.

He said that he has been driving the same car for many years and has regularly passed through the location without any issues.

Describing the situation, he said that his mother’s medical condition was urgent, revealing that his mother is hypertensive and needs medical attention.

Despite this, he claims that the police didn’t let him go, alleging that his vehicle documents were fake.

“They held me because I am young. They have nothing to charge me with; they said my papers are fake. See the policeman. He said he will shoot me anywhere he sees me. If anything happens to me, hold this policeman responsible. If I get shot tomorrow by any policeman, this man is responsible,” the man says, pointing towards one of the police officers.
