TikTok influencer Aderonke Ajibade has opened up about her life and struggles as an amputee in Nigeria, News About Nigeria reports.
The 24-year-old influencer, who is also referred to as a sexy one-legged babe, revealed this to newsmen in an interview on Sunday, stating that it had not been easy but that she is grateful to be alive.
According to her, she was filled with joy when she discovered that her leg was going to be amputated, as she had gone through a series of surgeries that, although initially successful, did nothing to remedy the situation of her broken leg in an accident.
She disclosed that she had battled depression, stating that the bills had become too much for her to handle, adding that she had made several appeals for donations.
She, however, noted that lots of people deserted her during this period, including those she had trusted and loved, adding that this led her to thoughts of suicide.
“My boyfriend left me immediately after I informed him about it, although, I was not expecting him to still date me, but at least coming to see me would have made a lot of difference. Even my friends, and honestly, I understand,” she said.
The Tiktoker had damaged her leg after she was involved in an accident on her way back from school at the Ilaro Polytechnic in Ogun State.
She, however, dropped out of school and has since learned how to make hair and produce braided wigs for her prospective clients while motivating people to never give up, irrespective of the situation that they are in.
