Yul Edochie Celebrates Late Son's Posthumous Birthday

Popular Nigerian actor Yul Edochie celebrated his late son, Kambilichukwu Yul Edochie’s first posthumous birthday on Thursday with an emotional tribute on his social media platforms, News About Nigeria reports.

The late Kambilichukwu who would have turned 17 today, died on March 30, 2023, after he reportedly developed a seizure while playing football with his friends.

The teenager was subsequently pronounced dead by doctors when he was rushed to the hospital.

In his emotional note to his son, the Nollywood star expressed his grief and the pain he has been living with since the painful demise of his first son with his estranged wife, May Yul Edochie.

The actor also shared the dream he had about Kambilichukwu after he passed and how he believes he is in a better place.

His post partly reads, “Kambi yooooo! Happy 17th birthday, my great son. Hope you’re doing well over there. I never knew I’ll ever do a write-up like this, but here we are. Life.

“I kept asking God to let me see you again, and he granted my wish. And I saw you once in my dream. You looked much taller and more handsome. And bigger. You were glowing. Seems you’re now playing basketball over there and left football. You looked very happy.”

Yul noted that life has been difficult for him since the demise of his son, but he is staying strong for himself and his other children.

He also added that though his family loves Kambilichukwu, he believes that God loves him more and he is in a better place with God.
