Popular veteran Nollywood actor, Francis Duru has announced the death of his son, Ifeanyi.
According to report, the late Ifeanyi is the actor’s second son.
The actor made the death of his son public in an emotional post shared on his Instagram account on Thursday.
Speaking in the post, Duru, who did not disclose the cause of his son’s death, described him as a “champ” and a “lion” who fought valiantly.
In the post, the actor also expressed his unending love for his son and how much he will miss him while praying that he rests in peace.
He also appreciated God, adding that he still judge him faithful even in the tragedy and the way he decided to take his child from him.
His post reads, “My champ! My lion, you fought like a lion. If this is the way He wants it, so be it, I still judge you faithful. Ifeanyi, my champ. I will miss you, son. I will forever love you. Rest in peace, son, rest. I give you thanks, Lord!”
His post have since been getting condolences from Nigerians with many celebrities and Nollywood stars taking to the comment section to sympathise with him and his family while praying for the repose of the soul of the his deceased child.
News About Nigeria reports that Duru and his wife Adokiye got married in 2003 and have four children together. The couple met at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where they both had their first degrees.
