Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner, Phyna has slammed fellow reality star Neo Akpofure for what she describes as condescending remarks made during the All Stars edition of the show, News About Nigeria reports.
Phyna, who won the ‘Level Up’ season of BBNaija, expressed her displeasure on the latest episode of her podcast, ‘Spill With Phyna’.
According to Phyna, she watched Neo on the All Stars edition of the show, where he rebuked someone for using her slang, calling her ‘razz’ (slang for unsophisticated).
Phyna said that she found this comment particularly shocking coming from Neo, given that his first trip to Lagos was a result of his participation in the reality show.
Phyna said; “Neo was in Big Brother [All Stars] House, I was watching that day. I don’t know what made me watch. And I was watching Neo, I don’t know who he was talking to, and the person used my slang, ‘Who deyyyy’ for him. And he was like, ‘Take that razz girl’s slang out of my ears. That girl is too razz.’ Coming from Neo that came to Lagos for the very first time because of Big Brother Nigeria.”
Phyna said she was confused about Neo’s comments since she had not met him in person and only knew him online.
Her guest on the podcast, Pere Egbi, apologised to her on behalf of Neo.
In a related development, Phyna has recently raised concerns about her mental health in the aftermath of family issues.
Reports emerged that she distanced herself from her family after winning the N100 million grand prize from the reality show in 2022.
In an Instagram post in October 2023, Phyna said that she is currently going through a challenging period and expressed worry about her mental health.
The BBNaija star had previously threatened legal action against a publication that reported on her family issues and later took to Snapchat to share her perspective, making allegations against her parents.
In her posts, she revealed a troubled family history, accusing her parents of not showing her parental love and claiming they often told her she wasn’t their daughter.
She mentioned feeling like an orphan due to their treatment.
