Man Cries Out For Help For Son's Heart Surgery

A man identified as Isaac Abba has cried out for help, asking Nigerians to assist him in raising the sum of N6.8 million for his one-year-old son’s surgery, News About Nigeria reports.

He made this appeal while speaking with Vanguard, stating that it has been difficult for his family during this period as all they have been put into trying to save the life of his son.

Recounting his ordeal, he disclosed that the problem had started eight days after his son was born, stating that the doctors had said his son was suffering from a ventricular septal defect, also known as a ‘hole in the heart.’

According to him, the baby was born through a caesarian section in November 2022 and when the baby started running a temperature eight days later, they returned to the hospital for examinations, after which an x-ray result confirmed he had pneumonia.

He further disclosed that the situation worsened after they were discharged from the hospital, and from there, they were referred to various hospitals and finally settled at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, and the baby was then placed on oxygen.

He painfully noted that after an echocardiogram exam was carried out on the baby, it was discovered his baby had a hole in his heart, and according to the doctors, such a hole does not get filled by itself.

He therefore appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to help him save the life of his baby and send donations to Account Number: 1010648018 Abba Gabriel, FCMB, or call 08169230042.
