President Bola Tinubu has extended his warmest wishes to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, as he celebrates his 70th birthday, News About Nigeria reports.

The president, who spoke through his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, on Tuesday in Abuja stated that George Akume had a rich and diversified portfolio of leadership experience and laurels.

He lauded the secretary for his consistency and perpetual dedication to duty over the years in ensuring that the affairs of the government remain coordinated and not in disarray.

He noted that Akume is a man of temperance who does all things in and with moderation, describing him as an affable, harmonious, and stable personality, which he maintained the Secretary consistently personifies as he coordinates activities between the executive and other arms of government.

He went ahead to say that George Akume is a man who makes himself accessible, focused, and dependable in bridging the divide between policy and implementation, adding that he is one of the most reliable citizens this country can boast of.

President Bola Tinubu further stated that the people of Benue State were lucky to produce a man like Akume, maintaining that he has leadership principles that are of great value and has also leveraged his remarkable talent for so many years because of what he has always stood for.

He attested to the fact that Akume was indeed a friend, stating that he is one man who will always be there, both in the good and bad days.

He therefore urged the statesman not to relent in the good work he is doing in the country.
