Emeka Ike's Ex-Wife Details Domestic Violence Incident

Suzanne Emma, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Emeka Ike, has addressed her ex-husband’s recent claims that her allegations of domestic violence were false and resulted in huge losses for him, News About Nigeria report.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Emma stood firm in her claims that Ike had subjected her to abuse throughout their 17-year marriage.

During the interview, Emma recounted an incident at the hospital when their child was seriously ill.

She said Ike verbally berated her and physically assaulted her while they were trying to negotiate medical treatment for their ailing child.

Emma shared, “There was a time we went to the hospital; my child was sick. We didn’t have money. And I was trying to negotiate with the hospital to treat the child, and we would pay later.

“It was taking a little bit of time, and he [Emeka Ike] just came in and started yelling at me, ‘You’re a fool. You don’t know how to do things. What’s all this? You can’t even talk to them. Who are they? They’re beneath you, and you’re allowing them to do this and all that’.”

Expressing how upset she was at the situation, Emma went to sit in the car.

However, Ike followed her, and she detailed, “Immediately he [Emeka Ike] was coming into the car; his punch was the first thing that I was seeing on my jaw.”

This interview comes in response to Emeka Ike’s denial of domestic violence allegations and his claim that such accusations had negatively impacted his life.

The couple’s marriage was officially dissolved by a Lagos Island Customary Court in 2017 due to reported incessant battery, with Emma filing for divorce on July 13, 2015, seeking to dissolve their 14-year union.
