Yahaya Bello's Arraignment Adjourned To June 27

On Friday, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State distributed 40 SUV cars and four Hilux vans to lawmakers and judges, respectively.

News About Nigeria gathered that in addition to the vehicles for lawmakers and judges, Governor Bello also handed over 25 ambulances to all local governments in the state.

Each of the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) will receive an ambulance for their Primary Health Care Centre as part of the governor’s gesture to support the healthcare industry.

Furthermore, three ambulances will be allocated to the Referral Hospitals in the three senatorial districts, and one will be designated for the Kogi Specialist Hospital.

During the presentation at the Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja, Governor Bello said that the provision of vehicles is intended to motivate performance and reward hard work.

He urged the beneficiaries to view the gesture as an encouragement to serve the state diligently for its growth and development.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf, expressed gratitude to the governor for the generous welfare package, adding that the legislators are committed to serving their constituents and the people of Kogi.

The Speaker received a Jeep and two supporting cars, while his deputy and other members were presented with vehicles in various classes and brands.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Usman Zakari, acknowledged the governor’s support for the health sector, noting that the ambulances would contribute to patient care and referral purposes.

He praised the governor’s contributions to the state’s health facilities.

The state Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabi, also extended appreciation to the governor for prioritising the welfare of judges, emphasising the positive impact on judicial service delivery in Kogi State.
