The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, on Tuesday announced that the Falcon 900B aircraft, which is part of the presidential air fleet, is up for sale, News About Nigeria reports.
According to the Force, interested persons are to submit their bids for the purchase of the aircraft.
The announcement was made in a post shared on the Force official X account where details about the sale were contained in the flyer.
According to the flier shared by the NAF, the aircraft was put up for sale following the approval of President Bola Tinubu’s led government.
The announcement partly read, “The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the sale of Falcon 900B aircraft owned by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).”
According to the statement, the sale of the presidential aircraft complies with provisions of the Public Procurement Act 2007.
While calling on interested buyers, the NAF explained that interested parties are to submit their bids for the purchase of the aircraft either by email or physically.
The Force also explained that, for interested parties who would be submitting their bids via email, the bids must be password protected and sent to “dproc@airforce.mil.ng while the password is to be sent separately to d proc2@ airforce.miI.ng.”
The Nigerian Air Force also noted that for physical submissions, the quotations are to be enclosed in an envelope and sealed while the envelope is to bear the name and address of the interested company/entity as well as the description and reference to the request.
They also added that the physical bid should bear the inscription, ‘DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023.’
Speaking on the deadline for submission of quotation, the statement explained that, the bids submitted by interested individuals would be processed immediately after the expiration of the December 24, 2023 deadline for submission.
