I Must Perform At Celestial Church – Portable Vows

In the face of social media backlash following the announcement of his participation, controversial singer Portable has declared his intention to perform at an upcoming praise night organised by the Celestial Church of Christ, Land of Goshen.

News About Nigeria reported that last week, the Lagos-based church stirred controversy by unveiling its concert lineup, featuring Portable, Pasuma the Fuji musician, and May Shua the songstress.

The lineup sparked criticism on various social media platforms.

Olatosho Oshoffa, the leader of the Celestial Church of Christ International headquarters in Ketu, responded to the criticism on Facebook, expressing his displeasure with the promotional poster and assuring followers that the listed musicians, including Portable, would not be part of the event.

Despite this clarification, Portable has now publicly expressed his commitment to the performance in a viral video.

In the video he shared, he revealed that he had been offered a substantial sum of N5 million by the church, adding that he plans to honour the commitment.

Addressing the Celestial Church community, Portable stated, “You Cele people, we will have to do that show. You have sent money. N5 million. We are going to do it. Pasuma will come in. Everyone will come. We will do it.

“Children of God are coming. Land of Goshen is coming. Land of Goshen Cathedral, we beg you, in the name of God, to see me as a child of God. Do not use my look to judge me.”

He continued, “It has been written that I am an angel and will perform in a celestial church. CCC Land of Goshen, I am going to perform alongside Alhaji Pasuma. You cannot cancel it. My fans in Cele, come out in all.”

As of the latest report, the Celestial Church of Christ, Land of Goshen, has not issued an official statement regarding Portable’s confirmation.
