Nigerian actor and club promoter, Idowu Adeyemi, popularly known as Yhemo Lee, has taken legal action against his colleague, musician Lil Frosh, accusing him of defamation of character.

News About Nigeria gathered that this move comes in response to Lil Frosh’s recent public claims that he was slapped by Yhemo Lee during a chance encounter.

In a series of posts on social media, Lil Frosh had accused Yhemo Lee of assaulting him for not greeting him properly.

The singer posted on Instagram: “@yhemo_lee Wettin I do your mama wey make you slap me? God will judge you! Na by force to greet? I no sabi your papa from anywhere and you come to slap me cause I no greet you? God will judge you unless I do anything to you!”

Later, Lil Frosh issued a public notice stating that his life was under threat, and if anything happened to him, Yhemo Lee should be held responsible.

He wrote, “If anything happens to me, Sanni Goriola Wasiu ‘Lil Frosh,’ hold Yhemo Lee responsible for it. He’s threatening me!”

In response, Yhemo Lee, who had maintained silence until now, through his counsel Inibehe Effiong, filed a lawsuit against Lil Frosh.

The legal document demanded a cease and desist from making further defamatory statements, a full retraction of the statements made, an unconditional apology (both written and video), and the payment of Two Hundred Million Naira (N200,000,000) as general and aggravated damages for the alleged defamation.

The lawyer’s letter read, “That you cease and desist forthwith from making further or fresh defamatory statements of any sort against our Client on Instagram or any other medium.

“A full and unconditional retraction of each and every defamatory statement, particularly the ones referenced above, that you have published against our Client.

“An unconditional apology both in words and by video, to be posted on your verified Instagram account, in which you must specifically admit that your accusations and innuendos against our Client are false.
