Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has stated that he will ensure collaboration with all the state’s commissioners and officials in handling the affairs of Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa made this commitment following a meeting between President Bola Tinubu, Ondo state officials, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and other stakeholders to address the ongoing political crisis in the state.
The Deputy Governor, pledging to maintain the status quo and unite all warring factions, also noted that he is not offended by the political crisis that nearly led to his impeachment.
Aiyedatiwa further emphasized that they are now one big family, and he will ensure that every member of the cabinet is involved in every decision that needs to be made.
He explained that moving forward, the executive and legislative arms of government will work together to ensure that governance in the state is on the right track.
The Deputy Governor appealed to all members of the State Executive Council to join hands with him to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Ondo State.
News About Nigeria reported that the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Oladiji Olamide, on Friday, in line with President Tinubu’s intervention, halted all impeachment moves against Aiyedatiwa.
Olamide also disclosed that there would be no more dissolution of the cabinet, and the Deputy Governor would maintain the status quo as far as the House of Assembly leadership is concerned.
