Popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, visited the Guinness World Records office in London, United Kingdom, on Thursday, News About Nigeria reports.

This was made known in a post on the Guinness World Records X account, where it disclosed that the Nigerian chef stopped by to say hello.

The post reads, “Former record holder #hildabacicooks stopped by to say hello to the team at our London HQ.”

Also, in a post shared on her Instagram Page, the former world record breaker wrote,”@guinessworldrecords called and I pulled up.”

Hilda Baci became the Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual) earlier in the year when she cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.

After Hilda Baci’s win, another Nigerian Chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dami, embarked on a 200-hour cooking marathon but was not successful.

However, in November, an Irish chef based in Japan, Alan Fisher, took over the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

The chef reportedly cooked for 119 hours 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 93 hours 11 minutes set by Hilda Baci earlier this year.

Aside from becoming the Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, the Irish chef also claimed the record for the longest baking marathon by baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes to dismiss the holder of the record who baked 31 hours and 16 minutes.

Fisher reportedly undertook both record attempts back-to-back, spending over 160 hours straight in the kitchen.

To surpass Hilda’s record and to set his own records, the Irish chef prepared over 550 kg of food and 3,360 portions of 32 Irish recipes.
