Kwara Governor Expands Cabinet With 29 Aides

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expanded his state cabinet with the appointment of 29 aides, including a narcotics expert, Olamilekan Aileru, who will serve as the Special Assistant on Drug Abuse Prevention and Control.

News About Nigeria gathered that the announcement, made on Saturday, covers various positions such as special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, and technical assistants.

Among the prominent appointments is Dr Adetola Ariyike Salau, who takes on the role of Special Adviser on Education, focusing on policy development in the crucial sector.

Dr Salau, an esteemed education policy expert specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), previously served as a Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Education.

She holds a doctoral degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and the Science of Learning from the University of Buffalo, State University of New York.

Other notable appointments include Alhaji Saadu Salahu, a public relations expert and community leader, named as Senior Adviser and Counsellor; and the reappointment of Mr Kolo Majin Isaiah as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed confidence in the capabilities of the appointees, emphasising their diverse expertise and commitment to contributing to the development of Kwara State.

The newly appointed aides cover a range of sectors, including grassroots empowerment, women mobilization, human rights, and social development, among others.

The governor also appointed the following persons: Salihu Jemilat (Special Assistant, SDGs); Abdulmumini Kane Habibat (Technical Assistant, Grassroots Empowerment); Ahmed Usman Babakano (Special Assistant, Non-Governmental Affairs); Lawal Abimbola Monsurat (Senior Special Assistant, Women Mobilization); AbdulKareem Alimat Motunrayo (Technical Assistant, Grassroots Empowerment); Falilat Saka (Technical Assistant, Grassroots Empowerment); Abdullateef Atolagbe Adebara (Special Assistant, Humanitarian Affairs); Mindadi Umar Ndagi (Senior Special Assistant, Social Development); Isiaka Yakubu Agodi (Senior Special Assistant, Grassroots Sensitisation).
