Wunmi, the wife of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has broken her silence amid the ongoing controversies surrounding the singer’s tragic death, News About Nigeria reports.
Mohbad passed away on the 12th of September, and since then, speculations and allegations about the circumstances leading to his death have been swirling.
Wunmi, who has remained silent throughout the ordeal, recently reached out to popular actress Iyabo Ojo to share her stance on the matter.
In her message to Iyabo Ojo, Wunmi expressed her desire for justice to prevail for her late husband, Mohbad.
She mentioned that she would reveal her truth during the Coroner’s inquest scheduled for the 7th of November, 2023.
In her message, Wunmi also emphasised the importance of conducting a DNA test on her son, suggesting that this would be a crucial step in the quest for justice and the truth.
“Hello ma I’ve decided not to speak on anything until 7th of November which is the coroner inquest because i do not want any side distraction, all I want is Justice for my husband which I believe the Nigeria government are working on, after everything I’ll either grant an interview or tell my own story before the whole world, and also DNA is definitely a most!!!”
Iyabo Ojo, who has been advocating for justice in Mohbad’s case, shared Wunmi’s message on her Instagram page.
She added a caption that expressed hope for the full autopsy results to be available by the time of the coroner’s inquest on November 7, 2023.
“To everyone who wants to hear from Mohbad’s wife, this is her response
“Ikeja General Hospital, please, we hope that by the 7th of November 2023, the next date for the coroner inquest, the full autopsy results will be out…
“We’re not giving up on this justice for Mohbad, no matter the dragging, noise makers or distractions,” Iyabo Ojo captioned her post.
