“When we learned of his recent health challenges and the financial burdens associated with his medical treatment, we felt a deep sense of responsibility to assist in any way we could. We promptly paid off his entire medical expenses as of Wednesday.”
The Foundation further wished the veteran Nollywood actor a swift and complete recovery.
They also encouraged people who can assist him in any way to do so, noting that nothing is too small and it can be through financial contributions, moral support, or prayers.
A video of the sick Mr Ibu surfaced on the internet on Wednesday with him and his wife and daughter soliciting for help for treatment of his undisclosed ailment.
His daughter, Jasmine Okafor, who said the family would love to fly Mr Ibu abroad for better treatment, further explained that she has been single-handedly catering for her dad’s medical bills but cannot continue anymore as she has spent all she had.
Since their plea to Nigerians hit the internet, several people have announced their donations to the ailing actor.
