Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has shed light on the latest developments in the case involving Nigerian singer Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, 2023.
News About Nigeria gathered that in a post via her Instagram page on Tuesday morning, she mentioned that the case has been transferred to the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), Ministry of Justice and the police are still awaiting the toxicology results as part of their ongoing investigations.
She noted that Mohbad’s remains have not yet been released. The delay in this matter may be due to the ongoing investigations and the need to finalize all necessary procedures.
In addition, she said that Mohbad’s wife has undergone interrogation multiple times in connection with the case.
To the best of Iyabo Ojo’s knowledge, she was questioned three times.
She also mentioned that the CCTV camera in Mohbad’s house was never installed or connected and the camera lacked a BVR (Backup Video Recorder) and a hard disk.
“Also, Mohbad’s wife has been interrogated 3 times to the best of my knowledge, 2 out of the 3times was the day you all saw Mohbad’s dad televised by the police in which they addressed the public on Mohbad’s case, later that same day Mohbad’s dad, mum and wife was sent to Panti for interrogation and to write their statement, another day Mohbad’s wife was interrogated was the 21st of September 2023….. reason why Tonto and Senator Ishaku Abbo met her absences….” Iyabo wrote.
