Popular Nollywood actress and producer, Moyo Lawal, has said that she hasn’t lost her faith after the release of her sex tape in September.
News About Nigeria gathered that in an Instagram post on Sunday, Lawal expressed her intention to take legal action against the person responsible for its release.
She also revealed that the man in the video was her ex-fiance, clarifying that it was never meant for public viewing and constituted a violation of her privacy.
Lawal delved further into her experiences and life in the weeks following the incident. She shared insights into her relationship with her ex-fiance and the circumstances surrounding the tape.
Lawal revealed, “One thing I can tell you for a fact is that things are never what they seem to be. I only had xxx twice last year; one of those times was the video that I agreed to because he started recording after the fact he doesn’t live in Nigeria.
“He put a lot of work into winning my trust over the years, and I mean a lot. So much so we were already working towards a house, marriage, and all.”
Addressing those who speculated that she released the video herself, Lawal made it clear that she had no part in its unauthorised distribution.
She said that her silence during the incident did not equate to her orchestrating the leak.
In her message to her detractors, she stated, “They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and changes you. I pray I become carefree and outgoing because doing life the right way has shown my enemies shege.
“Whoever orchestrated this move to drive my enemy insane and end her career, I just said to tell you, I haven’t lost my faith; I am still standing, striving, thriving, and well taken care of.”
