I Can’t Date Men That Live On Mainland — Moet Abebe

Popular On-Air Personality (OAP) Moet Abebe recently shared her dating perspective, highlighting her preference for Island-based relationships in Lagos, Nigeria.

News About Nigeria reports that this revelation came during a podcast conversation with former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tolanibaj.

Moet Abebe made it clear that she couldn’t imagine herself being in a romantic relationship with a man residing on the mainland part of Lagos State.

She firmly stated that she would exclusively consider dating men living on the Island.

“I’ve always said that I can’t necessarily date someone that lives on the mainland. I feel like if I call you at 11 pm you will give me excuses,” Abebe said.

In contrast, Tolani Baj expressed a more open stance on the matter during their podcast discussion.

She said that the geographic location of a potential partner wasn’t her top priority. What mattered most to her was the person’s willingness and ability to be present when needed, regardless of their place of residence.

“If you live on the mainland, I don’t care. As long as if I call you at 11pm, you are coming to my house. My men need to roll with mopol. What do you mean police on the road?”

Moet Abebe pointed out that, given the challenges of commuting between the Lagos mainland and the Island, maintaining a relationship with a partner living on the mainland might pose logistical difficulties and hinder the quality time they could spend together.
