Nigerian singer David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, expressed his displeasure over music executive Samklef sharing a video of his family online.
News About Nigeria reports that on October 13, 2023, Samklef was one of the first few who shared a video of Davido and his fiancée Chioma Rowland stepping out with their twins in the United States.
The video depicted a heartwarming family moment, with Chioma in a wheelchair carrying the twins, while Davido and his father, billionaire Adedeji Adeleke, were also captured in the footage.
Adedeji Adeleke was seen holding the camera as he filmed the precious moment.
While many fans were delighted to see this glimpse into the artiste’s life, Davido was less than pleased with Samklef for sharing the video without consent.
In a now-deleted post, Davido asked Samklef to delete the video, calling the singer-cum blogger a wicked person.
“Delete please, you are a wicked person,” he wrote.
He went on to call Samklef a ‘fucking clout chaser’ and stated that he should not have posted the video.
In response to the backlash, Samklef clarified that the video was already in the public domain before he shared it.
He questioned why he was being singled out for criticism, stating, “Saw the video on their blogs on Twitter and posted. What did I do wrong? Is it a crime for me to post like other blogs? I don’t understand why? Let Samklef breathe.”
Samklef further revealed that he had a conversation with Davido and cleared the air, emphasising that there were no hard feelings.
“Me and @davido are kool. Davido initially believed I was the one who leaked the video after our DM conversation. However, I clarified that I obtained the video from the public domain on Twitter. Wishing blessings upon your home and family,” he concluded.
