Nigerian superstar, Davido, has taken to Twitter to address the public, urging them not to circulate an old photo of him and his wife, Chioma, on a hospital bed following the birth of their late son, Ifeanyi.
News About Nigeria reports that in his tweet, Davido requested, “Stop circulating old pictures, thank you.”
The plea comes amid recent speculations that the couple had welcomed twins.
While Davido and Chioma have not officially confirmed the news, Davido’s tweet, lyrics in his song ‘In The Garden’ referring to Chioma as a ‘Mama Ibeji’ (mother of twins), and his brother Adewale Adeleke’s Twitter message thanking God have fueled suspicions.
Music executive Ovie also joined in the congratulatory messages, hinting that he had verified the news and acknowledging God’s double blessings.
Adding to the speculation, self-proclaimed investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo disclosed details about the twins’ birth.
According to her, Chioma gave birth to a boy and a girl at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, US, on Monday, October 9, 2023, after a 90-day bed rest.
The twins were delivered via cesarean section (CS) at 38 weeks of pregnancy.
Numerous celebrities, including Iyabo Ojo, Junior Pope, Daddy Freeze, Victoria Inyama, and Susan Peters, have extended their congratulations to the couple on the reported birth of their twins.
