Seyi Awolowo Likens BBNaija To Prison

Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Seyi Awolowo, has likened his experience on the show to being in a unique kind of prison with tough conditions.

He made this comparison during an interview with Toke Makinwa shortly after his eviction.

Toke Makinwa asked Seyi about a controversial statement he made on the show regarding setting up an account for his son and friends to run train on other people’s daughters.

News About Nigeria reports that Seyi explained that he said it in the heat of the moment and that being in the Big Brother house is like a different kind of prison with extreme conditions.

“I didn’t know when I said it, I was in a rant. Being in the Big Brother house, it’s a different kind of prison, you know when you agree to extreme conditions, you tend to underestimate the term ‘extreme conditions’ and I think I was at my breaking point at that time,” he said.

When questioned about why he agreed to go back on the show if it was so challenging, Seyi stated that he didn’t have any ongoing projects at the time and saw it as an opportunity to improve his personal brand and raise funds for future projects.

“Life is a double-edged sword. At the time I didn’t have any projects at hand. And I was open to marketing myself better so that I could be able to raise funds for my own works that I wanna do.”

Seyi Awolowo gained fame after his first appearance on the Big Brother show in 2019. His insights shed light on the demanding nature of reality TV for contestants.
