Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has extended his warm congratulations to Ilebaye Odiniya, the crowned champion of the Big Brother Naija All-Stars Reality Television show that ended on Sunday.

In a statement released from Lokoja, the State’s capital, Governor Bello, through his Media Aide, Onogwu Mohammed, praised Ilebaye’s victory, attributing it to her intelligence, resilience, and humility, News About Nigeria gathered.

Describing Ilebaye as a criminology graduate of Salem University, Lokoja, the governor hailed her as a trailblazer and a source of pride for Kogi State. He lauded her for achieving excellence both academically and socially.

“I am delighted to congratulate one of our own in Kogi, Ilebaye Odiniya, for emerging as the winner of the Big Brother Naija Allstars Season reality television show. Ilebaye, you are a trendsetter and Kogi’s pride, who has excelled in both academic and social spheres,” Governor Bello said.

He went on to commend Ilebaye’s qualities, including her brilliance, intellect, maturity, determination, resilience, and poise, which set her apart during her three-month journey in the Big Brother Naija house.

He acknowledged Ilebaye’s victory as a symbol of positive change in the African entertainment industry, not just for Kogi’s youth but for Nigeria, Africa, and the global community.

In addition to celebrating Ilebaye’s and victory, Governor Bello also praised the remarkable achievements of Kogi’s youths in various academic and social fields nationwide and internationally.

He said the recent global recognition received by Oluwabukolami Adeyemi, a Kogi youth who emerged as the overall best performer in the 2022 Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge AS Level Examinations, secured her an overseas scholarship for further education.

Both Ilebaye and Oluwabukolami, according to the governor, serve as inspiration and motivation to young people not only in Kogi but throughout Nigeria.

The Governor reassured the citizens of his administration’s commitment to supporting and empowering the youth in their pursuit of legitimate aspirations.

“Our administration will continue to support and empower the youth through various initiatives aimed at fostering inclusion, job creation, and harnessing our natural youthful energy,” he said.
