The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in Kano State, has slammed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for insulting the leader of NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, News About Nigeria reports.

This was said by the state NNPP Chairman, Hashimu Dungurawa, who noted that Ganduje lost at his Ganduje ward polling unit during the last general election.

Dungurawa’s criticism of Ganduje is in response to the APC Chairman’s statement that the leader of the party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, was a loser.

The NNPP Chairman also stated that it was necessary to remind Ganduje of his political trajectory, noting that Kwankwaso built him from nowhere.

He also stated Ganduje’s action against Kwankwaso is a clear show of betrayal from a mentee to the one who mentored him in politics.

In his words: “If Ganduje has forgotten, he is talking to his political master, whom he served as his deputy governor for eight years and the same Kwankwaso made him representative of Lake Chad and also his Personal Secretary when he was Minister of Defence.

“The same Kwankwaso, after ensuring that he kept Ganduje closely, helping him to survive political life, he ensured that in 2015, despite all odds, he personally made him governor in Kano State.

“It will amount to political betrayal for Ganduje to now have the guts to speak ill of Kwankwaso. There was a time when even Ganduje, in tears, said that he had nothing to pay Kwankwaso what he did to him in life.”
