Popular Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, has shared a video of his last conversation with his former label signee Mohbad.
Naira Marley, who had an interview with former presidential aide Reno Omokri on X, had sparked a nationwide outrage following the demise of his former label signee.
The Marlian music boss was seen in the now-viral video trying to talk the singer out of depression. Naira Marley advised the singer to confide in someone he could trust.
News About Nigeria recalls that Naira Marley and his associate Sam Larry had earlier been accused of being responsible for the singer’s death after a petition that was filed in June by Mohbad against Naira Marley and his associate resurfaced as Nigerians continued to grieve over the singer’s death.
Naira Marley was reported to have bullied the singer after the deceased singer fell out with him. It was widely rumoured that Naira Marley intimidated the deceased singer till the point of death.
Mohbad had in the petition asked members of the Nigerian Police Force to save him from his former label boss and his associate after he was reported to have been bullied while recording a video shoot with Zlatan Ibile.
Following the revelation, there was a wide call for the arrest of Naira Marley and Sam Larry as Nigerians continued to seek justice over the singer’s death. The police however immediately swung into action and exhumed the singer’s corpse for autopsy.
In a related development, Sam Larry while denying responsibility for the singer’s death detailed that he loved the singer like his brother.
