Omokri Lauds Commencement Of Sale Of Dangote Fuel

Reno Omokri a former aide to erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan alleges that the President of Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero is ‘Obidient’ and that he is only interested in undermining any government that is not presided over by the candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Making this claim in a tweet made available on Monday, Mr Omokri who shared an image of Joe Ajaero at one of Peter Obi’s campaign events said that it was impossible for the NLC president to be neutral.

He further accused the labour union president of turning the union into a tribal association that is subtly supporting Peter Obi’s presidential ambition.

“Does it not constitute a conflict of interests to have as President of the Nigerian Labour Congress a man like Joe Ajaero, who campaigned for and endorsed Peter Obi for President? Obviously, the man cannot be neutral. He will be interested in undermining any government not presided over by Peter Obi. He is an Obidient, and Nigerians should not be obedient to him. He is turning the NLC into a tribal parapo union in support of Peter Obi’s ambition,” a tweet by Omokri read.

News About Nigeria reports that his comment comes as the Nigerian Labour Congress gears toward another strike following the President Bola Tinubu-led government’s failure to meet the union’s demand on the expiration of the seven-day notice it issued the union.

The union is demanding that the President Tinubu-led government increase the country’s minimum wage, among other things, to lessen the effect of the recent elimination of fuel subsidy.
