Bella Shmurda, a close associate and colleague of the late singer Mohbad, has disclosed that when he received the news of Mohbad’s passing, his (Bella Shmurda) mother urged him not to return to Nigeria immediately.

Bella Shmurda made this revelation while attending a candlelight procession for the late singer in Canada.

The ‘Vision 2020’ crooner shared that he got the heartbreaking news of Mohbad’s demise three days after leaving Nigeria.

Expressing his gratitude to those who attended the event, he described Mohbad as a brother, friend, and best buddy.

He narrated, “This person was my brother, my guy, and my best friend. It’s so sad when I left Nigeria, two/three days later, I got a call that Mohbad was dead. It was so funny. My mum had to call me not to come home yet. She told me to wait, and I understand what she is saying.”

He concluded his remarks by saying, “RIP to Mohbad, God bless you wherever you are, even in your grave. I don’t know what to say. Just thank you, everybody, for coming.”

When Mohbad passed away, Bella Shmurda was one of the celebrities whom fans looked to for confirmation due to his close association with the late singer.

News About gathered that in the aftermath of Mohbad’s death, Bella Shmurda took to social media to claim that Mohbad’s spirit had been haunting him and motivating him to take action.

He called on the police to arrest Naira Marley, the CEO of Marlian Records, and another associate, Sam Larry, in connection with Mohbad’s demise.

He emphasised that if the Nigerian police were unable to fulfill their duty, justice would be pursued through legal or alternative means.

Bella Shmurda further warned that if Naira Marley and his associates attempted to flee the country, it would imply their guilt in the alleged crimes they are accused of, and they should be banned from re-entering Nigeria for life.
