Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna, known for his charming personality and acting talent, surprised many when he revealed that he has never ‘toasted’ or asked a girl out in his entire life.
The actor’s revelation came as a delightful surprise to his fans and the public, as IK Ogbonna has been widely recognised for his good looks and charisma.
In a recent interview, IK Ogbonna explained that his approach to relationships has always been rooted in friendship.
He recalled his upbringing, where he had numerous female friends, and revealed that most of his romantic relationships started as friendships.
“Funny enough, I’ve never toasted a girl in my life. It’s not about being a fine boy. I don’t know how to do it. I grew up around people; I had so many female friends at the same time.
“Most of my relationships always started from friendship. We are friends, we started liking ourselves, we get into a relationship,” he said.
News About Nigeria reports that when pressed to identify any exceptions to his ‘no toasting’ rule, Ogbonna humorously mentioned his ex-wife.
He said he started out by liking her pictures and playfully calling her ‘my wife’.
However, he was uncertain whether this could be regarded as a formal attempt at asking someone out.
“Maybe my ex-wife. I’ll probably call that asking out because I was liking her picture and then I was like ‘my wife’. I don’t know if that is regarded as asking her out.”
