Peter Obi Breaks Silence, Demands Justice For Mohbad

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the February 25, 2023 presidential election, has sympathized with the family of the late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Peter Obi, in a post on his official X account, called on security agencies to probe the cause of Mohbad’s death and ensure that justice is served.

According to him, it is painful for a parent to lose a child especially one with a promising future as Mohbad.

His post reads: “On behalf of my family, I condole with the mother and entire family of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, Mohbad, over his painful demise. I know how difficult it is for parents to lose a child, especially one with such a promising future as his.

“I urge the government and the security agencies to probe the circumstances that led to his untimely demise and to leave no stone unturned in unravelling the circumstances surrounding his death. With his demise, the nation has lost a promising talent in our growing music and entertainment industry. I pray God to grant him eternal rest, and grant his parents, family, and teeming fans the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss.”

News About Nigeria recalls that Mohbad who is a former signee of Marlian Records owned by Azeez Faashola, popularly known as Naira Marley died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and was subsequently buried on Wednesday in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, sparking controversies about his actual cause of death.
