The Osun State Government has expressed its condolences to the Aloba family following the untimely death of their son, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
News About Nigeria reported that the popular Nigerian musician passed away under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
The state government conveyed its condolences through Adebisi Emmanuel, the Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Civil Society Organisations.
Adebisi expressed deep sorrow on behalf of the state government and all Nigerians over the loss of Mohbad.
Describing Mohbad as a multi-talented, energetic, and visionary young artist in the country, Adebisi called on the investigative committee responsible for looking into the musician’s death to diligently uncover the truth behind the matter and ensure justice is served for the promising artiste.
He also had a message for the youth across the nation, advising them not to be overly eager to seek the limelight and to exercise caution when considering joining any group.
Adebisi emphasised the importance of staying away from hard drugs and urged young people to be exemplary ambassadors of Nigeria wherever they may be.
The Senior Special Assistant assured that the Osun State Government is committed to providing all necessary support to ensure a fair and just resolution at the conclusion of the investigation.
He called on the youth in Osun State to remain calm and maintain the peace, resilience, and normalcy that the state is known for throughout the country.
“Osun State Government greatly sympathizes with the youth in the state and country as a whole.”
