Veteran Nigerian record producer Solomon Oyeniyi, popularly known as K-Solo, has revealed that the remains of the late Nigerian artiste Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, will be exhumed early tomorrow morning.
K-Solo confirmed that Mohbad’s father has given permission for the police to proceed with the exhumation, which will take place either tonight or early tomorrow morning.
K-Solo has been vocal about his belief that Naira Marley, the head of the Marlian Records label, is somehow connected to Mohbad’s untimely demise.
During an appearance on Channels TV’s ‘Rubbin’ Minds’, he stated, “Naira Marley is involved. He cannot tell me he is not involved. He has a hand in his death.”
K-Solo argued that Naira Marley could not deny his involvement, especially since Mohbad was under his label and allegedly mistreated without his intervention.
“Somebody can’t be under your label and he is being bullied every day and you never came out to say anything. And you said you don’t know anything about it.
“You’re putting up a statement? Everybody can put up a statement. Naira Marley has an involvement in. He can’t tell me no.”
The police have established a dedicated 13-member investigative team to probe Mohbad’s death.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, emphasised that the police have access to INTERPOL and will thoroughly assess the involvement of individuals connected to the case.
News About Nigeria reports that the police are determined to uncover the truth surrounding Mohbad’s death.
The Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, directed Commissioner Owohunwa to conduct a swift and thorough investigation into Mohbad’s death.
The police have encouraged anyone with relevant information to cooperate with the investigation to ensure justice is served.
